5 Best Fastest USB 3.0/3.1 Flash Drive of 2018-2019

USB flash drive, especially high speed USB flash drive is still necessary if you need to copy large files frequently and take it with you. We have a variety of storage method such as cloud disk, hard disk drive, storage that comes with mobile devices, etc., but none of them can achieve portability and high-speed transmission, which is the value of a high-speed USB flash drive, because no one wants to spend 10 minutes copying a movie.

Why not multi-interface USB stick?

I will never consider a multi-interface USB stick because it is easily damaged and the speed is limited. My 3-in-1 USB 3.0 flash drive (USB 3.0, USB-C and Micro-USB) stopped working within one year, my new Android phone with 128GB storage capacity is enough for me to store photos and files, and it’s more efficient to transport simple files between my phone and computer via wireless transmission or synchronization.

Well-known products?

Highly recommend the products of well-known brands, those unknow products with low price and poor quality of the chipset and workmanship, the lifetime is very difficult to guarantee, although they may have a cool shape. Also, USB disk security and supporting software are also very important, especially for your important data, which is more precious than the product itself.

Most high-speed flash drives on the market are equipped with the lastest USB 3.0/3.1 interface, but finding the fastest USB flash drive is not an easy task. I searched and compared all high speed USB 3.0/3.1 flash drives on Amazon, and listed few reliable choices as below for reference only.

I just found this out myself but USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 are the same thing. They’re both 5 gbps and was simply just renamed from 3.0 to 3.1 Gen 1. So technically 3.1 Gen 1 aren’t backwards compatible to 3.0 because they are 3.0. AND NOW USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 (10 gbps) has been renamed again to USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 3.1 Gen 2 is USB 3.2 Gen 2 and the new 20 gbps will be called USB 3.2 Gen 2×2. Doesn’t make any sense.
